FT Advisors was founded in March 2009 by Udayan Goyal, formerly a Managing Director and global head of Financial Technology advisory at Deutsche Bank. Prior to that he was a founding member and European head of Financial Technology advisory at DLJ/ Credit Suisse. Landmark transactions include the take private of First Data where he led the advisory for KKR, the acquisition of ISE by Deutsche Boerse, the sale of IIC to MarkIt, the sale of Aviva Global Services to WNS, the acquisition of Smartstream Technologies to the Dubai International Financial Centre, the merger of DFM and DIFX to form Borse Dubai and the IPO of Cardtronics (the worlds largest ATM deployer.) FT Advisors is built on the strong domain expertise the financial technology industry requires and the strong cross-over between strategic advice and the need to receive advice on transactions. This hybrid advisory business model, we believe is a unique differentiator of FT Advisors. FT Advisors, will focus on long term strategic advice where its interests will be closely aligned with those of its clients. In order to do this, we would take on projects where the success milestones would not necessarily be defined as a transactional event but rather the solution to certain strategic issues that a company might face. We also want to move away from the short term incentive structures that have plagued the investment banking industry by more closely aligning our incentives with the long term value creation we would seek to help clients achieve. To this end, we would look to take a significant part of our own success-driven compensation in the form of long term equity in our clients where it was possible and feasible.
